How it Compares:
- Similar Features: The Razer Naga Trinity and Logitech G600 offer similar levels of button customization and ergonomic design, making them strong competitors in the MMO gaming mouse category. Both Razer and Logitech are well-established brands with a larger user base and more available reviews even though the G600 is hard to find these days.
- Price: The UtechSmart Venus Pro falls within the typical price range for MMO gaming mice, costing between $45 and $70.

The Build:
This mouse feels super cool! It’s all bumpy and textured at first, but you get used to it really fast. The cool thing is it feels like it has sweat-proof grips, so your hands won’t get all slippery during those intense gaming moments. Plus, you can add weights inside to make it feel just right in your hand. Unlike some other expensive mice that feel kinda cheap (not naming any names, Razer Naga…), this one feels super sturdy and well-made. None of the buttons have ever gotten stuck on me, even though I mash them all the time.

The Feel:
The shape of this mouse is pretty awesome for holding! At first, I kept trying to right-click with my ring finger because of the little groove on the side. Speaking of grooves, it would be even cooler if there was one for my pinky too, but honestly, you barely notice it unless you’re thinking about it really hard. The grippy texture helps a lot because it keeps your pinky finger right where it should be on the side. This grip style is called “claw grip” by some gamers, and if that’s how you hold your mouse, the side grooves won’t matter much anyway (although this mouse isn’t exactly designed for claw grip).
There’s also a spot for your thumb to rest below all the buttons, but it’s a little boxy and not super shaped to your thumb. It’s not uncomfortable though, and most of the time I’m using the buttons anyway, not the rest. On the plus side, the mouse feels great in both big and small hands! I have giant hands and it fits perfectly, and my little sister with tiny hands says it’s the comfiest mouse ever. Basically, this mouse works for all hand sizes – one size fits all!

Software:
- Easy to use and navigate with decent customization options for DPI, button mapping, and lighting effects.
- Wishlist Feature: The ability to customize lighting for different sections of the mouse (since it has multiple areas that light up). It would also be cool to have more lighting options like a “breathing” effect where the colors cycle through.
Multiple Profiles:
- Store up to 5 different profiles with personalized settings for DPI, button mapping, and lighting.
- Each profile can have 5 DPI settings for quick switching on the fly.
- Heads Up: The default button to switch profiles is on the underside of the mouse, but you can also program any other button for this function.

Programmable Features:
Let’s face it, once you experience the power of a 12+ button mouse, there’s no going back. I tried, folks, but the convenience is addictive. Don’t worry, memorizing all the buttons is surprisingly easy. It feels like second nature after a few sessions.
This UtechSmart Venus Pro is marketed as an MMO champ, and it absolutely delivers. Fast, efficient, and lets you unleash a whirlwind of commands with ease. Trust me, your MMO experience will be night and day.
But wait, there’s more!
The beauty of this mouse is that it’s totally programmable. I use it for way more than just gaming. Here’s my current button setup to give you some ideas:
- Button 1: Alt+Tab (switching windows)
- Button 2: Page Down
- Button 3: Page Up
- Button 4: Ctrl+Tab (changing tabs)
- Button 5: Volume Down
- Button 6: Volume Up
- Button 7: Forward (same as clicking the forward button in your web browser)
- Button 8: Delete
- Button 9: Enter
- Button 10: Backward (same as clicking the back button in your web browser)
- Button 11: Ctrl+C (copy)
- Button 12: Ctrl+V (paste)
See how much smoother your workflow can be with all these shortcuts at your fingertips? Why limit your left hand to a few measly buttons when your keyboard has a whole party going on?
Comparison:
This UtechSmart Venus Pro is incredible, especially considering the price. It blows away much more expensive options like the Razer Naga (including the Trinity version I tried) in almost every way. The only area where the Naga might take the crown is lighting, which is admittedly pretty cool on that mouse.

Some folks might say the Logitech G600 or G602 are better, but I haven’t used them yet and may not. The G600 and G602 are priced many times higher than the UtechSmart Venus Pro. For now, I can say with certainty that the Venus Pro is the absolute best value you’ll find for an MMO mouse of this caliber. Honestly, it wouldn’t feel out of place with a $70+ price tag.
My Verdict:
The UtechSmart Venus Pro RGB Wireless MMO Gaming Mouse is a phenomenal mouse, especially for the price. It outshines some pricier competitors in almost every way. The only contender might be the Razer Naga for its fancy lighting (which can be cool, if your into that).
Haven’t tried the Logitech G600 or G602 yet, but for now, the UtechSmart Venus Pro is my king of budget-friendly MMO mice. Honestly, it wouldn’t be out of place with a much steeper price tag.
